My name is Laura and I am so happy that you have found your way to my page! I am the founder of My Body My Birth My Baby.

This journey started when I studied Psychology and Education at University, where I learned that optimal health covers multiple facets of life. Research shows that our cognitive functioning and social support influence our physiological state, and often lifestyle factors such as stress, sleep, relationships, employment, finance and general self-care practices are overlooked.

Throughout my early and mid-twenties, I’d very little connection with my own health and bodily state, which resulted in the loss of my menstrual cycle. While I had some education in the area, I felt I was lacking a true connection with myself and my body so I decided to delve into educating myself on nutrition and health which led me to complete a Diploma in Nutrition and Health Coaching, as well as Sports Nutrition.

I’m really enjoying prenatal classes with Laura. I was sceptical before attending the class. This was my first time practicing yoga. I started prenatal yoga classes with Laura during my 2nd trimester and I am now into my 3rd trimester and have been attending weekly. It's slowly being more difficult to move around due to my belly getting bigger however Laura has adjusted all poses to suit my needs and even takes how I feel on a weekly basis into account. She listens for areas of concern in the body and has really helped me to ease some pain by focusing on poses to help my hips and pelvic area. The meditation at the end is always a lovely touch and provides me with an opportunity to relax after the class, sometimes to the point where I actually feel like I might fall asleep. I would highly recommend Laura’s class as it’s such a beautiful way to connect with your baby.
